http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-System-Tools-6.03-download-2100.html

New Nvidia System Monitoring Tools - 6.03 - Check on nvidia forums if you have a 79xx chipset and want the fancy version of these,

These are for folk with NVIDIA chipset motherboards.

If you already have NTune installed, uninstall that first

Just started playing with them but they are nice on the desktop tools that can be customised to give you a view of system performance. If you are concerned with temperatures, how much your GPUs are being used or interested in overclocking it gives you a nice readout.

Noit sure on the effect on CPU cycles but i'll let you know if i think its yet another thing that doesn't need to be loaded.

- Effects:-

Takes a while to initially load-up as it starts the drivers and loads the 3d display.
Will cause a nice hardware lockup if the monitoring system tray icon is loaded - and you decide to gun GPU-Z display program.

Some possible up and coming features for SLI users, mulit monitor support perhaps?

Quote:
The huge amount of work and money that’s going into CERN shows that it’s difficult to follow up an event such as the Big Bang, but it should be easier for Nvidia to make a sequel to SLI, which was codenamed Big Bang when it was in development. Its successor, Big Bang II, has been spotted on a few roadmaps recently, and it now looks as though we know what it is. If this rumour checks out, then it’s a new driver that enables multi-monitor support on SLI.

nice post undies, cheers for that.

However as i have discovered the perfect PC Hardware Money saving tip. I won't be playing farcry2 yet, or for quite a while.

* To avoid the rapid pc-upgrade path if you play the latest games, wait until the games are on "2 for £25" or equivalent before purchasing.
- This saves you money in software and you make sure you get the maximum enjoyment and playtimes out of older games.

i.e. the other day i bought EP 1 and 2 for HL for £9.99, and Combat Mission shock force for a £5.

Bit more info on the Nvidia Big Bang II Forceware currently in Beta.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-sli-260-280,6524.html

Including new Multi-Card, where you can install a lesser card than your main one, and have it devoted to Phys-X processing entirely, alternatively you can spread the calculations across SLI or on the single card only.

NVIDIA releases a new ForceWare driver today. This is a WHQL-certified driver for GeForce 200-series, 9-series, and 8800-series desktop GPUs.

Exciting New Features:

* Enables NVIDIA SLI technology on SLI-certified Intel X58-based motherboards with the following GPUs: GeForce GTX 280, GeForce GTX 260, GeForce 9800 GX2, GeForce 9800 GTX+, and GeForce 9800 GTX. Learn more here.
* Enables NVIDIA SLI Multi-monitor support, giving you the ability to use two monitors with your GeForce graphics cards in SLI mode. Now you can easily switch between multi-monitor desktop mode and full screen 3D gaming mode. Learn more here.
* Enables NVIDIA PhysX acceleration on a dedicated GeForce graphics card. Use one card for graphics and dedicate a different card for PhysX processing for game-changing physical effects. Learn more here. (Note: GPU PhysX is supported on all GeForce 8-series, 9-series and 200-series GPUs with a minimum of 256MB dedicated graphics memory. This driver package automatically installs PhysX System Software version 8.10.13).

Blazing Fast Performance:

* Boosts performance in numerous 3D applications. The following are some examples of improvements measured with Release 180 WHQL drivers vs. Release 178 WHQL drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):

* Up to 10% performance increase in 3DMark Vantage (performance preset)
* Up to 13% performance increase in Assassin's Creed
* Up to 13% performance increase in BioShock
* Up to 15% performance increase in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
* Up to 10% performance increase in Crysis Warhead
* Up to 25% performance increase in Devil May Cry 4
* Up to 38% performance increase in Far Cry 2
* Up to 18% performance increase in Race Driver: GRID
* Up to 80% performance increase in Lost Planet: Colonies
* Up to 18% performance increase in World of Conflict

Looks the part, these drivers seem to get better and better all the time.

Anyone experimented with Multi-Card yet, i'm interested in finding out how many cores are worth dedicating to a 2nd card for Phys-X
