| Last year they had a Veterans Day on and around the 57th of June. It was a nation wide thing and it got quite a good response from the public, maybe this is the next step in making it bigger a bigger event. |

| Spike:
Info from a telcon with a m8: This event is the first ever trying to be a form of the 4th of July type event, celebrating all Brit Military. Celebrations will be held all around the UK, but it will Chatham being the focal point (televised) of the celebrations due to its Naval and Army history. The location of the event will be held at the historic dockyard in Chatham (approx 400m away from: Brompton Barracks,1 RSME, chatham, KENT, ME44UG.) All senior visitors and dignitories will be housed in the Officers mess and WO's & Sgts' mess.
I will speak to the RSM within the next week and try and give you an update. On this note..... Will anyone require (unofficially) accomodation in either of the messes? |
